During a captivating week in May, we had the delightful opportunity to collaborate with Remida and the city library for an extraordinary event called 'Vaggerydssurret – fokus på våra surrande pollinatörer' (focus on our buzzing pollinators). Together with the children, we embarked on an exploration of our pollinators through the magical world of fiction.
The workshop became a realm of boundless imagination and creativity, where each visitor envisioned their very own "SuperBee." They imagined what this special creature would look like and what it might feast on. They also contemplated whether it possessed any awe-inspiring superpowers and if it had a loving family. The children brought their vivid imaginations to life using a fascinating stamping technique.
Beyond the enchantment and fun, this activity served a deeper purpose. Older visitors were sensitized about the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem, understanding their significance in sustaining our natural world. Meanwhile, younger visitors discovered and appreciated the essential roles played by these remarkable creatures.
The stamps are crafted by hand, utilizing old shoe soles and repurposed wooden scraps.
