During the celebration of International Mother Tongue Week, families with children gathered to participate in the "How to Cook with Paper?" workshop with Studio PP. Together, we recreated our beloved dishes using only paper.
With nimble fingers and imaginative minds, children drew, cut, rolled, folded, and pasted, transforming ordinary sheets of paper into elaborate depictions of delicious dishes. This provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on their own cultural heritage, share stories and traditions behind their favorite dishes, and celebrate linguistic diversity. From the Indian 'Dhokla' to the Serbian 'Sarma,' the workshop truly became a melting pot of flavours and memories.
Together, the group discovered new ways to use paper and create tools. They also came up with new recipes to try in the future. And explored how embodied knowledge is passed from generation to generation through cooking and making.
