OROSDJUR is an exploratory and participatory art project that creates a living, growing sculpture in collaboration with children and the local community in Småland. Rooted in the theme “ORO – Konst, beredskap och motstånd”, the project investigates how anxiety can become artistic material—transformed through collective action, sound, movement, and growth.
In workshops held in September 2025, participants explored the idea of Orosdjur—an “animal of worries”—through drawing, body movement, and storytelling. Children and parents imagined the creature together, translating emotions into shapes, gestures, and materials.
Following the workshops, the project team analyzed the process and outcomes to define the potential form and structure of the final sculpture. The team is now developing this further, with plans to materialize a semi-permanent sculpture in 2026 as part of the Småland Triennial 2026.
The workshops were part of the artistic research for the Småland Triennial 2026 and are carried out with support from Konstfrämjandet Småland and Vandalorum.
